1966, 1 October

Printer: Unknown
Designer: Unknown
Sheet size:
Perforation: 12 1/2 and imperforate, plus a perforated and an imperforate souvenir sheet

The World Football Cup Championship stamps that were issued differ from those in the illustration in that the new currency of riyals and dirhams is reflected on the issued stamps. Those pictured on the announcement were in the old currency of rupees and paise.

The games were held in Wembley, England and England was the winner. The same set of stamps and souvenir sheets were overprinted and announced on the same postal announcement. They were also released on the same date.

The overprint on the stamps is in red, but the overprint on the souvenir sheets is in black.
