May 15, 1938 - The first day of issue of the stamp was the previous day in Dayton, OH and St. Petersburg, FL. The stamp was issued for National Air Mail Week (May 15 - 21, 1938), which began the following day, and is found on hundreds of thousands of covers during that period.

May 19, 1938 - Two stars at the top left.

July 1, 1941 - Three stars at the top left. This design was in use in the late 1930s as well.

March 1, 1941 - Blue "AIR MAIL" to the left of the stripes, located at the bottom of the envelope.

September 23, 1933 - This cover was postmarked later as the event was postponed due to rain.

July 20, 1931 - This envelope and the one directly below it had to have been produced by the same company.

October 21, 1949. Most likely there is a "Via Air Mail" under the stamps, but I have not seen another envelope of this design to compare.

June 30, 1957. The back of the envelope has the same design, but flipped over so the two bands and star are in the right bottom corner. Also there is no star, the two bands are thinner and it says "VIA AIR MAIL" in red in the bottom center above the lines of color.

April 4, 1950

July 17, 1948

April 15, 1946 - A more modern version of the red and blue bar envelope.

August 1, 1959 - This envelope does not have "Air Mail" printed anywhere on it, but it is undoubteldy an air mail envelope. Note that due to the design the envelope does not seem rectangular in shape. It is an optical illusion making it appear wider on the left edge.
