This is one of the mystery sets of the country as there was no reason to issue the set only weeks before they would be of no use. Approximately a month later the last set of the country was released on July 31, 1972.

Perhaps the postal announcement best describes them as it calls them "labels", rather than "stamps".

Oddly enough, they are not always easy to find and seem to always be in demand by collectors. At least one FDC has been seen for this set.
 

 

• These two covers illustrated on this page are extremely rare and the only examples I have seen of the Postage Due usage. Others must exist, but are unknown at this time. The cover above was sent from San Francisco, California on December 11, 1972, with insufficient postage. On January 30 1973 one 20np and three 50np postage due stamps were applied and canceled. Both covers are extremely rare.
  

 

• The cover above was sent from Barklay's Bank in Rochester, Kent, England on December 12, 1972. On February 22, 1973 atwo 5np, 2 20np and 3 50np stamps were applied and canceled.
  
  The postage due marking is on the back of the envelope.
